Guest donster22 Posted June 15, 2006 Report Posted June 15, 2006 Hi I believe WM5 has something called a GPS Intermediate Driver which allows multiple software to access GPS data from virtual Com Ports (like GPSGate but built in) I read that with a registry tweak you can show the control panel for this on PPC and then set it up but I cannot find anywhere that explains how to make it visible on a Smartphone. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks Donster
Guest chucky.egg Posted June 15, 2006 Report Posted June 15, 2006 There's a registry key to hide it here: http://www.pocketpctweaks.com/pocketpc_twe...isable_gps_icon So I would guess that setting that value to 0 (rather than 1) would stop hiding it...

Thanks. This is for Pocket PC and I believe works OK. On Smartphone the Control Panel part of the registry does not even show the GPS Settings bit. HKLM\ControlPanel\GPS Settings (is missing)
