Guest adi-beg Posted June 15, 2006 Report Posted June 15, 2006 Hi. How can I use mp3 file as ringtone? User Manual of my qtek 8300 says that only wav mid and wma formats can be used. Thanks for advise.
Guest awarner (MVP) Posted June 15, 2006 Report Posted June 15, 2006 Try placing the file you want to use in themain Windows folder. I do not have an WM5 phone but it should work without a problem.

Thanks for advise. you can do it by copying the .mp3 file in \application data\sounds folder through active sync. Edited June 15, 2006 by telugite
Guest genaldar Posted June 16, 2006 Report Posted June 16, 2006 You could just use RJV tonesetter and put the ringtones wherever you want. It doesn't support contact ringtones so if you want to use custom ringtones for contacts those have to be in the application data\sounds folder.
