delete these files?

In application data\tao\intent\app\jam\midlets\ the files for the j2me programs are stored. This folder is on the phone memory and for every java app there is a corresponding .rar file 100-200 kb each.. I checked insie and there are folders a-z. What are these for? Recovery of the midlet? Can they be deleted or are they called upon every time the java midlet is starting (and running)? I want to get additional space on the phone memory... :)
