Guest flodis79 Posted June 17, 2006 Report Posted June 17, 2006 Today, the phone couldn't access the storage card... I synced it and found that the storage card had been renamed "storage card2", a name which I couldn't rename... How to reset it, so the storage card can be accessed again? I have abstract start and run it from the storage card, so I cannot access the start menu... Maybe I can put wm5storage on the phone and run it and rename storage card in usb mode? But I dont know how now when I cannot access start menu... Think this problem has been covered before, but I cannot find the thread here... Thanks alot..
Guest awarner (MVP) Posted June 17, 2006 Report Posted June 17, 2006 It's a known bug on WM5 Remove the storage card soft reset the device and delete the imaginary storage card. Put your storage card back in and all should be as it was.

Guest kam_ Posted June 19, 2006 Report Posted June 19, 2006 (edited) Thats how i always fixed it, but the other day it didn't work. It seems that once card cache is installed (to point IE temp files to the storage card) files are left open on the \Storage Card folder. I had to boot up and delete it very quickly and pull the battery. Turning off using the off button leaves too much time for \Storage Card to be created again! EDIT: in fact u don't even need to remote the SDcard, just boot, delete the folder, and soft reset (or pull the battery if u have the above issue) Edited June 19, 2006 by kam_
