Activesync and SPV M600

ActiveSync was working like a charm until this afternoon, now it simply does not connect.

I installed ActiveSync on a friends PC (XP as well) and it works so it is just my PC! but nothing has changed on my PC since this afternoon.

upgraded to 4.2 as well.

turned off firewall too, but it is the same it keeps trying to connect and nothing!

when I hook up the SPV M600 - the pc recognises new hardware etc etc, says it is ready to use but zilch on ActiveSync!

I even followed MS's guidelines of addin ActiveSync to the firwall (Mcafee)

any guides and help hugely appreciated
