Guest crossafied Posted June 19, 2006 Report Posted June 19, 2006 (edited) i have a 2125 with the sp5 imate rom. i was installing some plugins and backgrounds today and my phone got stuck. it was like that for a while so i turned it off and then back on. now it wont get past the Htc start up page any ideas? another weird thing when i turn the phone off it trys to sync with my computer but when it is on it does not rec it. i sure hope this is not serious. what sux is that the hard rest for the phone is in the phone but i cant see the screen to get to it. You could try turning it off and pulling the battery for a few minutes. Technically, I can't say why that works, but it fixed my old SMT 5600 when the same thing happened. Worth a shot anyway. If all else fails, you could do a hard reset...

With the phone off hold down the two softkeys (the two keys wither side of <- and home) and tap the power button. A black screen will come up asking you to press 0 (zero) to hard reset.

A black screen will come up asking you to press 0 (zero) to hard reset. i think i have read this instruction in 50 place 10 times today...i have tried it 30 maybe 40. i almost sent a message back laughing. then i tried the taping method rather than holding it down. ohh thank you. tapping got it. that could have been a little akward. telling my manager that i broke my corp phone. thanks
