Guest Doskei Posted June 21, 2006 Report Posted June 21, 2006 Hey all ~ I've finally gotten most of the icon work done for the plugin I'm designing, and I'm finally ready to start getting into the xml. I'm sure I'm going to have tons of questions, but my first is something that I haven't found any reference to on the site: I would like to set up buttons that take me directly to filtered contact lists. That is, I would like a button that takes me directly to a list of "personal" contacts, another that takes me to "work" contacts, and yet a third that takes me to "business." So far I haven't come across a plugin that links to contacts period - most people seem content to use the right soft key straight off the homescreen. But this is something I'd like to add if it's possible, so I thought I might as well ask. Any thoughts? Or is this simply impossible? Thanks in advance, Doskei
Guest w411y Posted June 21, 2006 Report Posted June 21, 2006 Are you creating a new plugin or just trying to include this into your screen using an existing plugin? I think its possible with a script, but I'm not your man for that, GPCarreon [MVP] is the best for this.
Guest Doskei Posted June 23, 2006 Report Posted June 23, 2006 Oh, I'm certainly not creating a new plugin. I was just hoping there was a plugin out there that could do this. It seems like most of the functions built into the phone have native plugins that can access them, like SMS, missed calls, time/date, etc etc etc. I was HOPING that there was a native plugin for contacts that nobody uses because it's always assigned to the right soft button anyway, so there's no point. But your reply suggests to me that there is no such plugin, native or otherwise, and it's not important enough to me to try to program a new plugin. Making my own home screen is proving tough enough. Thanks for the advice though, if I get desperate, I'll look up GPCarreon. - Doskei
