Guest Webreaper Posted June 21, 2006 Report Posted June 21, 2006 I'd quite like to be able to filter support/work SMSes into a separate folder (so I can ignore 'em :)). I'd also like to set up some basic spam filtering so that I only see emails which are from people for whom I have an address in my contacts. Anyone know if it's possible, and if there's an app that'll do it?

Guest richard_d Posted October 17, 2006 Report Posted October 17, 2006 I guess from the lack of replies to this post that either no-one has spam problems or there is no solution? My email goes via pop3 from Yahoo and is set to only download the inbox, spam filtering is therefore done at that level.
Guest FlangeArtist Posted October 17, 2006 Report Posted October 17, 2006 I guess from the lack of replies to this post that either no-one has spam problems or there is no solution? I have spam filtering at the mailbox source. The thing with any 'client' email package, is that it has to download the email's first (push or pull) and then apply any 'rules' (manually defined or spam based). Spam prevention is huge and I know that a mobile device simply does not have the storage capacity to store the information required for this nor does it have the processing capacity. So, my advice is get filtering applied at source!
