i have a spv c550 and just wondered if there are any kind of upgrades for the phone

Not as of yet. There have been little rumours of a WM5 update but nothing official has been heard.

I can not see a WM5 update for the C550 ever coming out but you never know. A bit of hope was the release of the O2 XDA Phone, Unfortunately the O2 XDA Phone may looks like a C550 with WM5 but infact it's a Tornado sub-species hardware wise called the Douton, so it's a bit of a sheep in wolf's clothing.

As I learnt from Smartphone History today :)

A C550 with WM5 would be a C600 pretty much (Feature wise not hardware wise). Orange would never do it surely! :)
