Guest adyuaic Posted June 21, 2006 Report Posted June 21, 2006 hello...I have a big problem (for me)...I have a mpx200, and I convert myself from mp3 to wav, the ringtones...and, I saw that the only destination is windows (on the phone), to see them on my sounds (when i want to set up)...and, on a while, the ringtones are being deleted themselves...what should I do? exists another destination, where can I set up as ringtones (if I can on the mmc card)? please...
Guest awarner (MVP) Posted June 21, 2006 Report Posted June 21, 2006 Place your ringtones in IPSM/Application Data/Sounds Do not place them in the main Windows folder as this gets rewritten on every reboot.
Guest adyuaic Posted June 22, 2006 Report Posted June 22, 2006 ok...thx, I understood..but I still have another question: can I put the ringtones on my card? and then to select them from there?
Guest awarner (MVP) Posted June 22, 2006 Report Posted June 22, 2006 Ringtones on SD/MMC Card if you have an older 2002 OS on your phone Open the registry editor: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Sounds\RingTone0 Select 'Values' Select 'Sound' and change the Value Data: Storage Card path to wavname (eg. Storage Card\Ringtones\myringer.wav) Just remember not to delete the ringtone off the storage card, otherwise the ringer will default back to a boring midi again. Removal of the storage card can cause possible corruption or partial resets on older devices if the phone tries to play the tone when you recieve a call. With 2003 you can just place them in My Documents folder.
