spv5000 orange backup possible?

First post; likely missing the obvious. New Orange spv5000, attempting to migrate contacts/diary from Sony Ericsson 9101i. No orange backup facility; Orange state not functional with spv5000. Bluetooth will transfer contact files across but will only save if done one a time, bulk transfer produces a fail to save message on the spv. I must be missing the obvious, cannot even find the bulk copy to sim option in the Sony E; surely there is a neater way to mange this migration?
