Guest rogueqd Posted June 23, 2006 Report Posted June 23, 2006 (edited) Hi, I wasn't happy with the i-mate SP5 standard alarm and, although there are others out there, I thought I'd write my own. There are a few minor issues (listed below), but if you'd like to try it and offer your comments they would be appreciated. Requires: DotNET 2.0 and an unlocked phone Features: One off alarms (set the time and date) Recurring alarms (you can choose which days of the week these occur on) Unlimited number of alarms (there may be some theoretical limit) Choose any wav file (must be in \My Documents\ or \Storage Card\My Documents\) Different wav files for each alarm (Use a TV theme to remind you when a show is on) Adjustable snooze time Enable/Disable individual alarms Name your alarms (use them as reminders too) Known isues: No mp3 support (this really bugs me, but I can only offer wav file support at this stage) Storage card must be called "Storage Card" (untested on other names, will probably crash) Installer assumes you will install to Storage Card (delete the example alarm if installing to phone memory, apart from that it will work fine) Program executes 1 min prior to alarm activation (Could be annoying if your using your phone, but is fine for most alarms) Large wav files don't play (I'm not sure what causes this, but files over about 4mb don't play, I sugggest you test large files before you rely on them playing to wake you up) Snooze time is global (will be adjustable for individual alarms in future version) Comments and/or solutions to any of the above issues would definately be appreciated.
