Guest finisterre Posted June 23, 2006 Report Posted June 23, 2006 I'd like to see how much space they are taking up. ROM is 4.1.1.0 Thanks.
Guest w411y Posted June 23, 2006 Report Posted June 23, 2006 Go to Accessories and go to Space Maker. Then click Menu - Erase SMS - All .... it will count up all your SMS's and tell you how much memory they are taken up in Kb. Don't worry, they won't delete until another approval.
Guest finisterre Posted June 24, 2006 Report Posted June 24, 2006 Thanks W411y. 864 texts. 600Kish. Maybe I should delete some someday!

Guest nevawlkalone Posted July 12, 2006 Report Posted July 12, 2006 counting them is fine but wht about gettin a back-up of all da text messges..?? can any1 help on this...?? SP Studio is quite good, and its free.
Guest ial Posted August 4, 2006 Report Posted August 4, 2006 SP Studio is quite good, and its free. But please, provide the information where phisically these files are located! Couldn't we back up them by simply moving using some usual file manager like TotalCommander? BTW. is there any registry tweak or whatsever what would make the system to store SMSes directly into a storage card into a user defined directory?
Guest nevawlkalone Posted August 4, 2006 Report Posted August 4, 2006 (edited) But please, provide the information where phisically these files are located! I was repling on how to back them up NOT where they where stored! SP studio appears on a google search any ways! Couldn't we back up them by simply moving using some usual file manager like TotalCommander? SP Studio simply creates a backup file of the messages, doesnt remove them from the phone and you can retore/backup simply and easily. BTW. is there any registry tweak or whatsever what would make the system to store SMSes directly into a storage card into a user defined directory? Not that i know of!
