Guest jniemeyer Posted June 23, 2006 Report Posted June 23, 2006 Hey all- OK, so here is what may be a dumb request. :) I am new to PocketPC, and I am missing some of the basic phone capabilities I have become accustomed to over the years. Whie I love the features of my new T-Mobile MDA, I really really miss the basic dialing capabilities of my old phone (I knew I would!). The ability to just hit a number and "speed dial" by holing the key down is something I really liked! What I really need is just a simple simple dialing keypad, heh heh maybe even with a "Send" button, that I can drop on my today screen, so that I can easily accomplish that old style of speed dial, then also just dial a number! I have looked afar, and while I can find lots of cool dialers, and contacts replacements, and actually did go ahead and start trying PhotoDialer, I can't find this simple thing. Maybe it is not technically possible? Anybody know of anytning like that that exists? Thanks! Joel
Guest awarner (MVP) Posted June 25, 2006 Report Posted June 25, 2006 Welcome to the site :) The dialing interface is quite straight forward on the wizard, just press the green button and you then have the option of speed dial and all the other dialing features you have used on your old device. I have not seen this as a today screen plugin though. After some google work I found this, still not what you are after though. http://www.vijay555.com/index.php?Releases:VJPhoneTools

I was just hoping I could make it a bit easier! I saw that phonetools app. Nice, but probably more than I need, right now anyway. Thanks anyway! Joel
