Guest JesusDoesVegas Posted June 24, 2006 Report Posted June 24, 2006 Ive had this phone for a few months and have been loving it. I take good care of it and whatnot, hoping that it will last. Not too long ago, ive started having a problem. The send button seems to be going out on me. Often in order for the keypress to register, the button must be pushed very hard. Im the second owner of the phone (got it off ebay.. it appeared to be in pristine condition upon arival) so I have no idea how to get warranty service done... if that is even possible. so is my phone that is otherwise perfect about to be totally unusable? is there an easy way for me to fix this? I havent taken it appart or anything... could it just need a de-dusting under the case?
Guest JesusDoesVegas Posted June 28, 2006 Report Posted June 28, 2006 if theres no hope or salvation for my phone at modaco than there is none anywhere. ALAS! it is doomed to a life of button jamming and malfunctioning. [darth vader] NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO [/darth vader]

I just replaced this part and now everything is great. I live in detroit, and it took about 2 weeks to get. Replaced the part easily see how to take it apart the ribbon comes off easily just pry off. goto local hardware and buy a precision screwdriver set, usualy around a dollar or less. and you should be set to go. just make sure its all dust free b4 u put back together. 25 bucks to save your phone is very reasonable (in my opinion) also, Ive been thinking about ordering another just in case this one ever craps out and they arent selling the replacement part anymore. [darth vader] NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO [/darth vader] http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...item=9744469653 If it's got wet or the ribbon is ripped then you may need an entire keypad. If it's just 1 or 2 keys you could just peel up the sticker and replace the push pads with those from an old cell phone keypad etc if the are similar size. Richard
