This is something i'm seriously considering doing:

Although i'd leave the standard case on, make the sholder buttons glow blue when the PSP is on and glow red when it's charging :)

OMG that thing kicks serious ass...would look better with the glossy black case on instead of the clear one IMHO but still definately an improvement!

P.S, SUPERMAN RETURNS COMES OUT TODAY IN AMERICA, but here in the UK we Have to wait till July 14th unfortunately, and My GCSE's are finally over, yey!
