Guest petec500 Posted June 28, 2006 Report Posted June 28, 2006 My wife has just sent me an MMS but when i try to download it, i first get the error message: "Unable to receive your message(s). Your message(s) notification(s) will remain in the Inbox" Then i get: "There is not enough free space for message downloading. Please free up some space and try again" I've only got 8 messages in my inbox so i guess the problem isnt there. Any ideas how i find out what's taking up all my memory so i can free up space?
Guest Disco Stu Posted June 28, 2006 Report Posted June 28, 2006 What about emails, SMS ? Ringtones, homescreens, anything else in My Documents on the phone itself ? Software installed on the phone rather than the storage card ?
Guest tsutton Posted June 28, 2006 Report Posted June 28, 2006 Check your Sent Items and Deleted Items folder?
Guest petec500 Posted June 28, 2006 Report Posted June 28, 2006 My phone was showing: Storage memory - Used 13.34MB - Free 3.61MB I then deleted all my SMS text messages (received, sent & deleted - i had no emails) and got to: Storage memory - Used 12.87MB - Free 4.08MB So i'd freed up 47KB of data, which did then allow me to download the MMS, which was 66k in size. The thing is though, why did i have to do this when i still had 3.61MB of free storage space? Also, the Program Memory is showing as - Used 19.67 - Free 25.39MB Is there any way of changing the allocation of free memory from program to storage? I really cant see anything else on the phone that's taking up all my storage memory (very few ringtones, no homescreens). All my files are kept on the storage card. I only have one small program loaded too. Finally, how can i save photos sent via MMS to the storage card?
