Guest karlux Posted June 29, 2006 Report Posted June 29, 2006 Hi, just bought new sync cable for my Qtek 2020i/ XDA 2i, connected just fine, but I noticed that the battery is draining very fast 1% per 3 min. when connected!! Why does it occours? There is written on the cable - XDA III/ IIs - does this means I need a cable for XDA IIi and this one isn't going to work? Thanks, Karlis
Guest awarner (MVP) Posted June 29, 2006 Report Posted June 29, 2006 Is active sync working correctly? I have noticed this with other pocketPC devices such as the Axim and Ipaq. This was more noticable when using them in the car to charge the device. Chances are the cable you have is not a very good quality one and giving poor connections.
Guest karlux Posted June 29, 2006 Report Posted June 29, 2006 don't know about activesync - just reinstalled the newest 4.2 beta version. Before I had some narrow cable with opened wire due to broken - this cable was able to charge my PDA, but no sync! The new cable syncs ok, battery states - charging, but it's like going in opposite direction - it's draining!! I noticed that my previos cable has a bit different connector with some metal on top!
Guest awarner (MVP) Posted June 29, 2006 Report Posted June 29, 2006 Who did you buy the cable from? It may be worth getting another cable from an authorised dealer.
Guest karlux Posted June 29, 2006 Report Posted June 29, 2006 I bought the cable from Etechcity in Hongkong. The seller explained me that the XDA IIs cable difers from XDA II (and perhaps XDA IIi too) cable. Probably this is the fault... anyway I will receive another cable suited for XDa IIi and I will check everything! Thanks!!
