Guest karlux Posted June 29, 2006 Report Posted June 29, 2006 Hi, I now have 2 smartphones - C500 and SP3i both with empty battery and no reaction when trying to charge! How can I charge the batteries? I have heard that it is possible to charge the batteries directly with open wires added to pins?
Guest Pondrew Posted June 29, 2006 Report Posted June 29, 2006 You've left one or both devices connected to the mains charger for a long period of time and no response? I only ask as I had to charge an empty MPX200 battery last night for the first time and began to think it was a dud when there was no response for 5mins. Within another 5 it was charging happily... Don't use the sync cable to recharge as it doesn't deliver as high a voltage and sometimes as a result can't trigger recharging of a discharged battery. Mains cable is the way to go.

Guest FerretAD Posted August 26, 2006 Report Posted August 26, 2006 I've charged batteries before by using a power converter, down to the right voltage, which gives it enough charge to start charging from the proper power cable. Might be worth a try, as a last resort.
