Memory Card Problem

I have just recently got myself a Vodafone 1240 which is essentially the Vodafone branded SP5. Got myself a Sandisk 1gb card but everytime I go to System Info is shows the majority of the memory of the card is used and only about 20Mb is available. Do I need to do something to get the card working properly? Thought about trying to format it but can't find an option.

If I put the same card in my SPVM2000 using the SD Adapter the card is fine.

Sandisk are normally reliable so it is strange that it's not being read properly on the phone.

You can format the card using Task Manager from www.binarys.com otherwise formatting with a card reader should be fine.

Hello everybody,

first of all thanks to all participants of this forum - I learnt a lot that I would have never found out alone.

Now I have a question:

I bought a 2GB, 133, miniSD and am just not able to format it with the mentioned task manager.

Could it be that the Tornado is not able to handle quick cards or am I doing something wrong?

Do you have the ability to read SD cards from you computer?

I suppose you have kept you Mini SD to SD adapter??

If you can read it from your computer, simply right click it in my computer, and press format

I thought that it was best to format a card with the device you are wanting to use it, therefore I tried it with the telefone.

However I will try to format it on the computer and see if the card works out fine.
