Orange C600 voicemail icon stuck

Hey -

My c600 has been working perfectly for six months on orange until yeaterday. I received a call from my mate who left a voicemail. Troube is the voicemail icon and alert noise didnt appear until this morning (next day) - i listened to the message and deleted (as per usual - no other messages) but the voicemail icon stayed.

I remebered similar problems on the mpx 200 and c600 which were remedied by leaving yourself a voicemeil message and then deleting. Ive tried this several times including leaving several messages and deleting but the icon will not go away.

Is there any way to get rid of it

When deleting the message wait until you get the confimation about the message being deleted then wait until the icon goes away before hanging up.

The problem is not phone related but a network issue.

You can also ask the network to try and reset the alert for you.

had a similar problem but instead of the voicemail icon being stuck it just never appeared. apparently something to do wit UDH messages not being interpreted by the phone correctly ( messages which say whether you have voicemail or not) so maybe its similar? over in this topic HERE but then again its too much of a coincidence that this is all on orange and not on o2 or tmob... maybe it is oranges fault after all...

I had a friend tell me he'd left me a message so when I looked I had no voice mail icon, but after checking I had 7 messages going back a few weeks.

I have just recently started to get the "This person called but left no message" texts to my phone, even when the phone was switched on.

just a note to say - i called orange and they reset my voicemail - bingo job done

mine seems to have sorted itself. Left myself a messagew yesterday and got the notification fine.
