hi, time for a new phone. going with either of these. is the only difference between them looks, the 4 buttons and the camera flash?

which do you guys think is should go with. the sp5 is sleeker looking. and the sp5m looks kinda clunky. any thoughts

I'd go for the SP5 just because it looks better :)

The SP5m does not have a camera flash.

If you use your phone for media applications and internet then maybe the SP5m but agree design wise it's really a matter of taste as both phones looks completely different.

Neither the SP5 nor SP5m have a camera flash (as I think Awarner meant)

I'd go for the SP5 unless you're planning on using it primarily as a music player. The SP5m keypad is apparently quite a bit more cramped...

its like the c550 keypad which i find that the keys are just too close together for my liking, my qtek 8310 (SP5) keypad felels much better.... also the SP5 does look alot better IMO :)

I'm with you on that jm012a9749. My SPV C550 has been a royal pain to text with since I got it due to the poorly designed keyboard. Hence I'll probably be getting the XDA IQ shortly (that is, unless T-Mobile make me an offer I can't refuse within the next fortnight).

on the subject of the XDA IQ, doesn't it have a slight lump on the top of it where the ariel is? bit like the cingular 2125 but not as pronunced? or am i just imagining things :)

but back to the topic...

the music buttons on the sp5m just take up too much space so your left with bout half as much room to squeeze the rest of the keypad in. like you say disco stu... its a real pain, especially when you have big thumbs like me :)

heh. No problem. :)

Wondered why the pics of the IQ looked slightly lumpy at the top. Suspect it's just a visual illusion though as can't imagine why it's need to be different...

at least its not as bad as the cingular 2125.... but then again gsm coverage in the usa is poorer as they have a bigger country so it would probably need it in more remote places.

still a mystery why you would need a lump in the uk though.. o2s coverage is very good.

excelent. the only thing that i thought was different is the flash, tho, i dont really care for the camera anyways.

So long Mpx220, i will always remember you. SP5. HERE I COME

The MPX220 camera always let the phone down so you should see a slight improvement with this new one.
