Guest armsy Posted July 3, 2006 Report Posted July 3, 2006 I don't know you just get one problem sorted, then another one pops up it's ugly head!! This time (although I've got a 2Gb Memory card) (which I know has nothing to do with it) my bloomin phone keeps beeping and telling me "your device is running low on memory, delete old or unused items" I have Resco Battery & memory installed and this tells me I have:- Total Memory 62.0 MB Program Memory 45.1MB 52% used RAM Memory 16.9MB 94% used Storage Card 1.9GB 1% used So the BIG question is . . . What is causing the memory usage? I have less contacts than I had on my C500, I've deleted all old text and e-mail messages, there's no pictures or video stored on the phone its self, just on the card. Is ther anything I can move to the card to reduce memory usage? Thanks for your help Neil :)
Guest awarner (MVP) Posted July 3, 2006 Report Posted July 3, 2006 Have you remembered to delete the contents of the Deleted Items folder? Also installing numerous homescreens and then not deleting any can take up space after a while. Hopefully you have been installing your applications to the Storage card and not the phone.

You have 16.9 MB ram memory which is alot, but more importantly - you have 48 percent of the program memory left. Very strange. There is a file in the windows folder which displays the low memory message, if you could find it, maybe you can try to remove it and see what happens? Maybe a registry change has to be done as well..
Guest armsy Posted July 4, 2006 Report Posted July 4, 2006 Thanks so far but. . . I have emptied the deleted items folder and all new applications are on the card and it wont let me delete or move the storagelow.exe file. Am I just being thick here is there something obvious I'm missing? How do you go about doing a registry tweak? I'm at a loss
