'External' Registry Editor

I'm think I read somewhere that someone had a registry editor for Smartphone which ran on the desktop PC rather than the phone itself.

This would make life much easier for browsing through the registry.

Did I imagine this or does such a thing exist?

it does exist but i dont now of one with a search function.. there is also noticable lag when accessing the registry which annoys me..
