Guest petec500 Posted July 3, 2006 Report Posted July 3, 2006 For whatever reason, my C600 went astray yesterday and so I immediately phoned Orange, who blocked/blacklisted the phone straight away. If someone now has the phone, what can they do with it? For instance, i assume of course they cant make calls, but could it be used with a different sim? Could they access my contacts database or files kept on the phone?
Guest awarner (MVP) Posted July 3, 2006 Report Posted July 3, 2006 Once the phone is blocked they can not use the phone function but all other features ie the pda side can still be used. So all your files etc you had on the phone are fully accessible.
Guest Confucious Posted July 3, 2006 Report Posted July 3, 2006 Blocking means it cannot be used on any UK network (unless it is hacked and the imei is changed - which is illegal), it doesn't block it form being used abroad on other networks oras awarner says, stop anything else being used.
