Guest fluffcat1 Posted July 3, 2006 Report Posted July 3, 2006 (edited) From the latest i-mate newsletter: https://www.clubimate.com/newsletter_archiv...ne06_issue.html 'Club i-mate, i-mate's device-owner dedicated portal providing 24/7 multi-lingual online support, is coming to it's 500.00th member, making it the world largest online Wndows Mobile community! To celebrate, i-mate will be giving away 4 limited edition red i-mate JASJAR devices...Prize draw coming soon!' Hmmmm. Not sure about the looks but I want one... Richard [edit: Note that the prize draw is "coming soon" so as yet there is no way to enter!] Edited July 4, 2006 by Paul (MVP)
Guest Confucious Posted July 3, 2006 Report Posted July 3, 2006 Much as I love my Universal, it is a bit of a brick and holding it up to your ear you try not to make it look to obvious - painting it bright red will make it far less conspicuous! Not exactly easy on the eye, is it?
Guest awarner (MVP) Posted July 3, 2006 Report Posted July 3, 2006 Nice, I heard about the red JasJar at the beginning of the year. I thought there was only about 100 of them made.
Guest nedge2k Posted July 4, 2006 Report Posted July 4, 2006 they should make a carbon fibre one :) or at least colour code the kb.
Guest sporkguy Posted July 4, 2006 Report Posted July 4, 2006 "500.00th" do they mean 50,000 or 500,000?
Guest fluffcat1 Posted July 4, 2006 Report Posted July 4, 2006 "500.00th" do they mean 50,000 or 500,000? Maybe they count us to 2 decimal places?.... I wonder what percentage of devices sold their membership is? And how many of those 'community memberships' are actually just people registering to download bug fix roms or to report problems?... For a company shipping devices since 2002 and into the UK since end 2004 they either haven't sold that many handsets or there are lots of users with buggy phones. From the turnover figures posted on their site I think it's the latter. P.s elsewhere I've seen them refer to it as 1/2 million members so I think it's just a different style of punctuation and /or a typo. Richard
Guest sxywill2005 Posted July 4, 2006 Report Posted July 4, 2006 I think I deserve one for how they messed me about :) There was a 1000 made. Although, I think I would like a Hermes or 'JASJAM' now.
Guest fluffcat1 Posted August 6, 2006 Report Posted August 6, 2006 Pah! They didn't even tell us how to enter or when the draw would take place but in the latest newsletter (31/7) the freebie Red JasJar was 'won' by Julian Wilkinson. Wondor who he knows as imate then... Pah! Richard
