nedge2K over at MSMobileNews has had a chance to look at the new SDIO tv tuner by Eopstech.

"Mobile TV is looking set to become the next big thing for PocketPCs and Smartphones alike. That's all well and good if you want to buy a new device just to keep up with the trend but what if you don't? Well, for those of you with full size SD slots, Eopstech have come to the rescue with their analogue SDIO TV tuner!"

An interesting gadget but at

Well you learn something every day ! :)

(programming) ternary - A description of an operator taking three arguments. The only common example is C's ?: operator which is used in the form "CONDITION ? EXP1 : EXP2" and returns EXP1 if CONDITION is true else EXP2. Haskell has a similar "if CONDITION then EXP1 else EXP2" operator.

Peekie, surely 4 years is long enough for a widget of this nature to have a decent life ? The problem is finding programmes worth watching now that the World Cup is coming to a close ;) :)

If that's the real quality of it... and having to cart around something of that size... no thanks!

Given the size of it you might as well buy a pocket DVB-T set, several of which are on the market now. They don't need line of sight either, unlike the claim in the review.

too big

too heavy

reason for a pocketpc/smartphone, is portability... now if it was the size of an actuall SDcard, that'd be usefull.
