Guest discosrule Posted July 5, 2006 Report Posted July 5, 2006 Hi all, looking for a rss newsfeed reader that will download all of my rss newsfeeds so that I can read them on the train on the way to work. I like the http://www.iliumsoft.com/site/nw/newsbreak.htm, newsbreak program but it doesn't seem to have the function to download all newsfeeds content when I have it connected to my PC (activesync) so I don't have to use the GPRS (costs too much !) Just wondering if there is any programs out there that will do this ? A better option would be if it could sync with my RSS newsreader on my laptop, so I don't have to read the same RSS's twice :) or any items that I want to look up later i can leave them unread and I can investigate them further on my laptop when I get too work :) Matt.
Guest lightsurgery Posted July 5, 2006 Report Posted July 5, 2006 Hi all, looking for a rss newsfeed reader that will download all of my rss newsfeeds so that I can read them on the train on the way to work. Just wondering if there is any programs out there that will do this ? I use a freeware product called 'pRSSreader' - Link. It's really nice - not too big, and can be set to download manually (whilst connected to your computer). HTH :) A better option would be if it could sync with my RSS newsreader on my laptop, so I don't have to read the same RSS's twice ;) or any items that I want to look up later i can leave them unread and I can investigate them further on my laptop when I get too work :D Matt. I'd like to do this too, so if anyone else out there knows...? :)
Guest Disco Stu Posted July 5, 2006 Report Posted July 5, 2006 I use NewsBreak and have it set to only refresh the feeds when there is an ActiveSync connection. Look in Options, Auto Update, and change the Mode to 'If ActiveSync Available' :)
