Hey guys

Its probably something very simple, however I've been having a blonde moment for the last 25 years of my life :)

When I try and play audio files (mp3's) through Media Player or TCPMP I get no sound playing even tho the volume is at 100% and I can see the tracks progressing. This happens on more than one of profiles, I've tried headset and the normal profile.

Strange thing is, when I fire up Tomtom I suddenly get blasted with volume. Any idea's how I can have this same volume without having to fire up Tomtom?

Any idea's appreciated.

ps, its a C550 with original ROM

Cheers,

Steve

Try turning up the volume on the phone - the rocker switch on LHS. That's usually the problem and you're not the first to be bemused by this :) :)

Both the rocker on the LHS and the volume in Windows Media Player are max'd. It's strange that when I fire up Tomtom it plays audio at an almost boosted volume, so now I have to run Tomtom if I want to listen to tunes :)

I had something similar on my C500 which appeared to recover after a power cycle. All the sounds were quiet. I put it down to me playing with the LED utility. One of the script commands seems to attenuate the volume a lot.

i had that with my qtek 8310, it does mute the volume considerably. although i can see no reason why this would happen with tomtom..... uninstall then reinstall?
