Guest odt Posted July 6, 2006 Report Posted July 6, 2006 Hi Guys, does anybody know if there is something specific i need to do to enable my c600 to connect to the internet via my PC when connected (via usb) to activesync? i have turned my firewall off but no matter what i do i get 'the current connection cannot be used for your request. please end the current connection and try again.' really really want this to work, any help would be much appreciated. I searched the forums but i couldn't find anything similar. thanks
Guest rdwars Posted July 7, 2006 Report Posted July 7, 2006 Not sure how to do this while being wired by USB, but using bluetooth it's not very hard. Connect your BT with your phone, and you will discover your computer starts installing some peripheral devices. Next create a dial-up connection, and use the bluetooth dialup thing. You don't need to use a username / password. As for the number to dial hit *99#. Done. This works for surfing on your computer using your tornado with GPRS. Don't know if this works as well when your phone's connected with WiFi.
Guest odt Posted July 7, 2006 Report Posted July 7, 2006 Hi , Thanks for the reply, i think you have taken me up wrong as i was wanting to browse the internet on my phone , using my bb connection on the pC. i managed to get it to work by playing around with the options in activesync :)
Guest Tech Posted July 7, 2006 Report Posted July 7, 2006 you need to make sure that you set the internet connection on the mobile device set to "Pass through connection" when activesynced by USB OR bluetooth
Guest atlas Posted July 8, 2006 Report Posted July 8, 2006 Yeh check the Activesync settings. Goto File->Connection Settings and select 'This Computer is connected to The Internet'
