Guest chocobogo Posted July 7, 2006 Report Posted July 7, 2006 I am having trouble configuring my c600 to received MMS messages when my vodafone sim is inserted. I have found a few webpages that list the settings that I need, but none of them relate exactly to the c600 settings for MMS. I am also having trouble finding exactly where I set the phone to use a new MMS 'connection' which I have set up. In the "Advanced" options within Options > Connections there isn't an option to set what MMS connection the phone could use. If anyone could offer some help that would be great as I have 3 MMS's queued up waiting to be downloaded! Cheers

Cheers Right Chap, had the same problem - try this, works on my spv c600 Navigate to - Messaging, MMS, Menu, Options, Account Options, MMS. You should be looking at a menu called "Preferences". Click Menu and MMSC Settings. This is where the MMS setttings hide! Click Menu, new and add these settings, set them as default and you should be away! Name - Vodafone MMS MMSC URL - http://mms.vodafone.co.uk/servlets/mms WAP Gateway - 212.183.137.12 Port 9201 Connect via - Wap Network Max Sending - 250k Wap Version - Wap 1.2. Should work OK if not get back to me.
Guest chocobogo Posted July 7, 2006 Report Posted July 7, 2006 Cheers for the help, I have put in those setting but the messages I have in my MMS inbox still wont download. I think it could be to do with the fact I have fiddled about with all the settings within Start > Settings > Connections > GRPS What should these be set as?
Guest chocobogo Posted July 7, 2006 Report Posted July 7, 2006 (edited) Actaully, it looks like it's working, a MMS just got downloaded! Cheers for the help! Edited July 7, 2006 by chocobogo

Guest stuarttaylor Posted July 9, 2006 Report Posted July 9, 2006 Not a problem. yeah mine had to think about it for a bit then just started working. V weird! I still seem to be having problems with both sending and downloading MMS messages. Speaking to my local Vodafone store, they were saying that the GPRS settings in the Connections menu are only for internet access. This is driving me nuts as I keep receiving the occassional notification, but the message doesn't download. :) ;) :D
