Guest Griff_FFOC Posted July 7, 2006 Report Posted July 7, 2006 As sky have launched their skybymobile facility (www.skybymobile.com) where I can supposedly set my sky+ box from a mobile phone, I took a look at their site and signed up. Supposedly you get a message on your phone with a link in to download their software to your phone. However, when I click the link on their site to send the message to my C600, the C600 lights up then goes off shortly after, with no message or anything else. Has anyone managed to get this to work on a smartphone? Cheers
Guest w411y Posted July 7, 2006 Report Posted July 7, 2006 Can SmartPhones recieve "WAP Push Messages"? I'm not recieving nothing on my C550 :)
Guest Griff_FFOC Posted July 13, 2006 Report Posted July 13, 2006 I tried again, and again the phone lit up and did nothing. A friend has this on his phone and it's great, can see the sky guide, pick a program, and press record. I tried browsing to where the address on his sms message went to, but I just got a message saying that the phone is not compitable. Sent Sky a text and they gave the usual about devices being coded for and maybe in the future they will make an app for it. They also gave instructions on how to set your sky box by text message.
