Guest mattpayne Posted July 7, 2006 Report Posted July 7, 2006 I connect to about a dozen wireless networks with my phone, is there any way to push my home network to the top of the list of saved networks?? currently the phone searches through all the unavalable till it reaches mine!!!
Guest jimbouk Posted July 7, 2006 Report Posted July 7, 2006 I have the same - the OS tries to connect to the last one used first. However even though I have loads of access points saved, I find it still logs in to my home network within a couple of seconds. It is markedly slower if the Access Points SSID broadcast is switched off.
Guest Shuflie Posted July 16, 2006 Report Posted July 16, 2006 (edited) If you want to speed the process up a bit select your home network in wireless manager and manually connnect to it. Or you could try renaming your home SSID so that it would be first in the list alphabetically, not sure if the list is sorted like this or not but its worth a try. EDIT: Doesn't seem to be alphabetically sorted, but it does seem to put the last settings you entered at the top of the list. Try deleting your home network settings and re-entering them, that should get your home network to the top of the list, it may be pushed down again when you connect to a different network, but it shouldn't go too far down.
