Hi,

I think I have stumbled on a bug and do not know how to fix the problem.

At some point in time I had configured and used a GPS via a Bluetooth with my 2125. It worked fine for a few month till my GPS quit on me. I have since got a replacement from the manufacturer and decided to re-set BT connections.

I have deleted all BT Devices as well as ports in order to have clean install.

All seemed to go well until I got to the portion of configuring COM ports. 2125 seems to only have 2 of them 6 and 7. I have configured 6 to be incoming and tried to set up COM7 for outgoing. Every time I try to do that I get an error"

"Alert

The COM port could not be created. Please, check your settings and try again.

I have repeated the procedure a number of times including and excluding turning off the phone and/or having the battery taken out. Nothing seems to work.

I also have called Cingular support who recommended that I do a hard reset on the phone. Since my phone is unlocked, I am afraid of locking it up due to ATT SIM.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

AV :)
