changing the orange startup screen

i have found a program called screen changer but i cant get it working. could someone tell me the way that i can change the image of the orange startup screen?

another thing i have just noticed...

when i look through the options of programs that i have downloaded (for example i just downloaded one called smurf) i can see any text when i look at the options etc. all i see it the tick boxes. is there any reason for this?

If you mean the very first screen you see on startup then it can not be changed unless you hack the ROM.

get typhoonnbftools 0.4 from HERE, includes tools to change tornado/hurricane splash screens and export your current one to a bmp, also tornado rom manipulation tools.

i downloaded it but it mentions something about a flash file not being loaded when i try to run it. is there any other methods?
