Pictures and contacts

I recently took pictures of a couple of buddies of mine and attached them to their contacts. I kept the pictures on the minisd card (I have an mpx220) and without thinking I took out my card and formatted it. I sent it in for rma to the manufacturer. I had backed up the card earlier on the day I took the pictures but not after I took them. The weird thing is the pictures are still associated with the contacts and they still work. So I was wondering where the pictures are being stored so I can save them and copy them back to my minisd (once I get it back).

Also as long as I'm on the subject, are these contact pictures the exact size of the originals or are is the resolution lowered to save space?

They are stored in your contacts. If you have Outlook 2003 or above on your PC you'd be able to see them there.
