Bluetooth Name - Change Source

Hi,

I have noticed that for Blutooth connectivity the name from the "Owner Information" is used.

Is it possible to change it so that it picks up the name to use from somewhere else? Such as the device name? Or a custom name purely for bluetooth purposes?

when your owner info is empty it picks up your device name.

Problem is that I have completed the owner information. I think it is a good idea should I lose my phone and it is actually found by someone honest enough to return it.

Is there no registry setting that can be changed to either force it to use the device name or to force it to use a custom name?

They just need the contact number (hone phone) - not your actual name.

You can also change it in the Settings\System\About\Device ID.
