Guest xelar Posted January 23, 2003 Report Posted January 23, 2003 Before using my SPV itself to send/receive email, I've synchronized mail with Outlook. Now all my Outlook mail folders are on my SPV as well. Is there a way to delete those folders?
Guest cepheus1 Posted January 23, 2003 Report Posted January 23, 2003 Same problem here as well...would love an easy answer please
Guest Bazz Posted January 23, 2003 Report Posted January 23, 2003 Usually either you have sync with Outlook or send/receive from SPV. If you set it up sync and then change your mind and use "Programs->Inbox->Menu->Options->Email Set-up" it should delete all your specific sync folders. At least that's what it does on mine...
Guest cepheus1 Posted January 23, 2003 Report Posted January 23, 2003 Nope.....I think we may not have been clear about what we were trying to do - sorry  The phone *IS* now set-up to recieve e-mails, it's just that when I originally set-up the phone I chose to sync; and consequently when I first connected my SPV active sync copies across *ALL* of your Outlook Folders. Obviously this isn't a problem if you have a simple default folder setting on the desk top, but I use 19 Inbox sub-folders....all of which are now redundant if you choose not to sync your email  So how can I delete those sub-folders off my phone....please :!:
Guest Bazz Posted January 24, 2003 Report Posted January 24, 2003 Yup - guess I wasn't clear either ;-) I was originally set to sync via Outlook - my 25 sub folders from my inbox got copied across. Then I decided to send/receive instead (why can't you do both? - grrr!). So I went into e-mail setup and was warned that I was currently set to sync with Outlook and continuing would remove my current e-mail setup, did I want to continue? I click yes and set up a pop3 e-mail account. Next time I go into my inbox I only have 5 folders (Deleted Items, Drafts, Inbox, Outbox, Sent Items). My 25 subfolders are gone. It sounds like your phone doesn't do this. Strange :? Try setting up sync again and then setting up e-mail.
Guest cepheus1 Posted January 24, 2003 Report Posted January 24, 2003 Thanks Barry  Re-syncing and then changing to send/receive gave me the option you mentioned and then took away all of my additional inboxes - Nice and tidy again now ;)
