Guest jimbouk Posted July 13, 2006 Report Posted July 13, 2006 Any ideas, Vista says Activesync 4.2 is blocked due to incompatibility issues! Help I downloaded IE7 and found that my sync went out the window - so reverted back to ie6. Hence not installing the Vista Beta.
Guest msiviter Posted July 14, 2006 Report Posted July 14, 2006 (edited) I downloaded IE7 and found that my sync went out the window - so reverted back to ie6. Hence not installing the Vista Beta. WOW I just plugged in the USB and "Windows mobile Device Centre " opened - hot poop - full windows integration. Vista is great so far! C500 WM5 & M7000 WM5 Edited July 14, 2006 by msiviter

Guest dleasman Posted July 26, 2006 Report Posted July 26, 2006 WOW I just plugged in the USB and "Windows mobile Device Centre " opened - hot poop - full windows integration. Vista is great so far! C500 WM5 & M7000 WM5 Unfortunately, Vista's "Windows Mobile Device Center" does not support WM2003 phones, only WM5, which I think is completely stupid. Also, since upgrading Vista to the July build (5472), I can no longer sync with my WM5 phone either. Also, now my sound does not work either! Vista is pretty unstable over all... The newest build actually has more problems than the previous build. I would discourage people from even trying Vista until RS1 is released. B2.5 is just not hardware friendly at this point.
Guest jimbouk Posted July 26, 2006 Report Posted July 26, 2006 I've got latest Vista Beta working on my laptops D-drive. I ran windows update three times on it and it found all my sound drivers and other hardware. Windows Mobile Device Centre is syncing my WM5 device fine. I can't connect to my exchange server though (with office 2007 or 2003!)
