changing key functions through registry

Hi ive posted in general about an issue with c500, ie the rocker switch for the earpiece vol, is broken in the up position, so volume is set to lowest, and the microswitch is broken(ive stripped it down to see).

Howeverthe switch is fine to turn down the volume, and my question is, is there a way to alter the functions and reverse the function, so down is up(if you see what i mean!!).

Hope this is clear, as im on nights and just got up so life is muggy in headsville!! ;)

Please help, this is nearly last resort.
