Reset a forgotten password, and "unsupported" devices

We're looking at setting the "Device Security Settings" for our WM5 devices that sync with the Exchange server.

Two questions came up though:

1. If you forget your password is there any way to reset it (other than a Hard Reset)?

2. There's an option to "Allow access to devices that do not fully support password settings". What does this do, and what OSs does it do it for. I'm guessing it allows older (WM2003 etc) devices to still sync direct with the server - is that right?

Anyone know the answers?

As far as I'm aware, the Exhange account password is also their domain user account password. If they forget this, they're boned. They'll have to contact a Domain Admin and get their entire account password changed.
