Guest pob Posted July 13, 2006 Report Posted July 13, 2006 I love my C600, but recently its had a problem with the responsiveness of the joystick every so often. Has anyone else had this? I'm thinking of sending it back to Orange for a repair, and i want to backup my files, including texts. How do i do this? do i need any special software? or can it be done just through active sync? Thanks.
Guest bencook Posted July 26, 2006 Report Posted July 26, 2006 I too have problems with the joystick. It seems to have started when I upgraded to the latest firmware. It does seem to come and go. Sometimes 'down' stops working altogether. Ben.

Do you know how to back up texts?
Guest bencook Posted July 26, 2006 Report Posted July 26, 2006 I've just sent it back - but because it stopped reading my SIM (or other SIMs). The joystick issue is intermittent so I've not reported it. I don't know how to back it up either - what a pain.
Guest Confucious Posted July 26, 2006 Report Posted July 26, 2006 For backup - try Sprite Backup (Free to Plus members)
Guest pob Posted July 28, 2006 Report Posted July 28, 2006 Apparently there is software available that backs up all your data from your SmartPhone, an example of this is Sprite Software (http://www.spritesoftware.com/) As mentioned above. You can also convert your text messages into email so that you can store them on your PC
