No Email Notification Sound on WM5 K-Jam/Mini-S

Hi,

I've got my K-Jam sorted and have just setup Activesync over bluetooth. The plan was to be able to sit at my desk in work and for the phone to sync over BT every now and then and when a new email comes, to make a sound. The sound is set in the settings to play, and plays when I preview it. However, when I receive a new email via Activesync, there is no sound. All other apps are closed apart from AS. The today screen updates and shows another message in the inbox but no sound whatsoever.

Anyone else managed to sort this out or is it by design rather than a bug?

That sounds familiar

I seem to recall having the same issue with a different device, and it was because I was syncing via the PC. If you sync Over The Air it should alert you - maybe it assumes that (because you're at your PC) you already know about the new mail
