Guest PDADoc Posted July 14, 2006 Report Posted July 14, 2006 As I've patiently waited for this update, I've noticed everyone else's carriers releasing this update, but nothing from T-Mobile USA yet, unless I've missed something. Has anyone heard anything about this?

Has anyone heard anything about this? It doesn't exist yet... You'll have to set your CID to all 1's (SuperCID) and then load the I-Mate firmware onto it. However, by doing this you will lose things like the AIM/ICQ/Yahoo client and the customized T-Mobile push e-mail (The T-Mobile My E-Mail client). Regular Microsoft Push Mail will still work. You will also lose the custom Hotspot application. But if you don't use those, then you should be ok. I wouldn't hold your breath waiting for it. I've been asking people inside of T-Mobile who do the testing of updates, and there is nothing in site that I know of. If you know what you're doing, you can back up all of the T-Mobile software, but the 'My E-Mail' client and the AIM/ICQ/Yahoo client include some pretty hidden registry items.
Guest chaznet Posted July 18, 2006 Report Posted July 18, 2006 Not sure if it'll be available from T-Mobile or HTC first, but here's the link for the ROM that launched with the SDA: http://www.htcamerica.net/support/SDA_Clearvue.htm You could just check there periodically to see if it's been updated. Guest pankul Posted July 20, 2006 Report Posted July 20, 2006 (edited) the customized T-Mobile push e-mail (The T-Mobile My E-Mail client). Guest onimenogarou Posted July 21, 2006 Report Posted July 21, 2006 I emailed them not too long ago and they said they are testing it now. It should be available before the end of the summer... at least that is what HTC and T-Mobile said...
Guest PDADoc Posted July 21, 2006 Report Posted July 21, 2006 Pankul, thanks for the suggestion, but I don't like that T-Mobile client. And besides, I just want what Microsoft has delivered on and that many other carriers have already implemented into their respective ROMs. I don't see what the problem is, but I have no choice but to wait. Thanks to all who replied. :)
Guest bobhuang1 Posted July 21, 2006 Report Posted July 21, 2006 I followed instructions on this page: http://tech.bryandavis.net/content.asp?act...rm&id=99616. It worked perfectly with Exchange Direct Push Email and A2DP.
