How to change Start Menu Background at Qtek 8310?

Hi!

I have a problem and hope someone can help me!

I dont know how to change the background in the star menu. ive got a qtek 8310 with wm5. on 2002/03se i know how to do it but not on wm5.

On the Cingular 2125 you can change it so:

You can change the background image that is displayed on the start menu screens by replacing the /Windows/Cingular.bmp file with a BMP file of your choice.

But it dont work on my phone because i don't have the cingular.bmp file :)

can someone help me??

Hi there

You can replace the image by going to the registry and change the BKBitmapFile key

Find the key at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shell\Rai\:MSStart\BKBitmapFile

and change it's contents to match the location of your picture, i.e. \Storage Card\Wallpapers\mypicture.jpg
