I have an M5000 and I can't get it to allow me to sync with WMP 10.

I have a new genuine version of XP Home and I am running Office 2003

It keeps saying it can't find the device and to press F5

:) HELP!!! (please) ;)

Steve :D

Is your M5000 being recognised by Activesync as in can you sync normally and explore the phone from your PC?

Yes it will recognise it. Occasionally I get rejected and it wants to log on a a Guest

You could try deleting the partnership and reestablishing the partnership. Also check your firewall to make sure it's not blocking WMP accessing your phone. Shouting at it helps a bit.

Have reset the partnership once already, suppose it won't hurt to try it again

Have shouted at it VERY LOUDLY - didn't work though.... :)

it's brginning to p*** me off - never had this problem with my M2000

Bu**er me if I haven't just managed to sort it out.

Went on to the Microsoft Mobile site & downloaded the Active Sync 4.2 update and VOILA it's only gone and sorted it all out

thank god for that

(shouting must have helped I guess....)
