spv as a gprs modem ;/

hi there, bassicly ive been trying to use my c550 as a modem now for a number of days, after reading an article on how to do it... bassicly, when i plug my c550 into my pc it doest say 'found new hardware' as when i first got it i installed it from the cd so it knows my spv. also when i go to the new hardware wizard it doesnt find it and doesnt seem to be on the list if i choose menually, is there an easier way of installing the spv as a modem as i have the driver on my orange cd. any help would be appreciated thanx
