New rom on M600?

After discussing on another thread some sluggish performance on my M600, I was wondering if anyone had tried a new rom. I know it's not the fastest proccessor in the world but I just wondered if getting rid of all the orange stuff from it and flashing a qtek or imate rom makes any difference to performance. Has anyone tried it? Be interesting to hear some thoughts.
