Guest regnirok Posted July 23, 2006 Report Posted July 23, 2006 I've been looking around for this for quite some time and cannot seem to find an answer anywhere. Hoping someone here has an idea. Anyhow I have my WM5 Device(a tmobile MDA) synching to the Exchange 2003 server that I administrate at work. Everything works just fine except for one small annoyance: In outlook I have emails from one particular sender(our network monitoring suite) get filtered into their own folder, and then outlook notifies me by playing a unique sound whenever an email from that sender comes in. The folder is just a subfolder of INBOX. Now, when I synch my phone it synchs the subfolder of INBOX, but it will only play the new email sound(as set in start>settings) when something comes through to the INBOX. If a new email comes through into the subfolder of INBOX it will not play the sound to let me know I have a new email. What happens is, I check my phone after a few hours and see there are multiple new emails sitting there in waiting to be read, but the phone never notified me of their arrival. As I'm not too familiar with the WM2003 registry, I'm hoping someone out there is familiar enough to fix this or has fixed it for themselves in the past. Thanks if you've got any insight!
Guest chucky.egg Posted July 23, 2006 Report Posted July 23, 2006 I've had that too, but AFAIK there is no solution - its an "undocumented feature" that affects WM5 too
