Guest dhardy Posted July 24, 2006 Report Posted July 24, 2006 I found www.morange.com today ...... it looks to be a 'free' push email for IMAP service that doesn't need a redirector to run on a PC just for email. It also offers (with a redirector) a means to get at desktop files, webcams etc. I'm having a bit of a job getting my IMAP email (I'm running SME SERVER) to work on T-Mobile (works fine on Orange, but costs too much :) ) so I'm thinking of giving it a go. I don't really want a desktop client to be running as well so that end of it (along with the free price) seems fairly attractive. (My IMAP problem is probably unique to me, I've been able to connect to an MDaemon imap server on the same ISP - Zen Internet - without problems). Has anyone else seen this morange thing? Any opinions? David.

Guest mwright Posted April 2, 2007 Report Posted April 2, 2007 Looks neat, might check it out! P I am having a bit of a play with it now! The client is a Java app which, personally, I always find a bit tricky to run and use on my M3100 but we will see. Also means that the "push email" is not traditional Microsoft-style push. It took a bit of setting up - some things are less than obvious as to how they work. More later......!
Guest jfran Posted May 30, 2007 Report Posted May 30, 2007 (edited) actually there is a client for the windows mobile 5 at present. supports push email from pop and imap servers in an intergrated mailbox like the blackberrys, unfortunately there is no syncing with your servers for mails sent, or a means to indicate if mails have been read server side, nonetheless is still a handy tool. Also on the pocketpc devices, there is a system tray icon for easy access to the application. The application also supports RSS feeds, a file manager that can be used for your device and connected to your home pc via their desktop client, and a chat client that supports google talk, YM, and MSN mngr. have fun. The windows mobile client can be downloaded from http://mail.mozat.com/~Etanzq/morange.CAB rgds Jim Edited May 30, 2007 by jfran
